KASHAN GAS POWER PLANT

Project Specifications

The project for Kashan Gas Power Plant consists of two gas units each with a capacity of 162 MW (324 MW in total) at ISO conditions in which V94.2 gas turbines of NIAM Plan have been used.

The power plant is located 20 km from Kashan on the road to Ardestan. All the units of this power plant have been delivered to the client. The client of the power plant project is Iran Power Development Company (IPDC), its consultant is Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers Company and the contractor is MAPNA MD-1 Company.

On the basis of the approved strategy, Kashan Power Plant Project has been implemented within the framework of 17 contracts in engineering, procurement and construction sectors. Also, the capacity of Kashan Power Plant substation is 230 kV and its engineering, procurement and construction is within the authority of the project client.

Construction operations of Kashan Power Plant were launched on 23 January 2007. The first unit of the power plant was synchronized on 27 June 2009. The last unit was provisionally delivered to the client on 31 January 2010. In the project for construction of Kashan Gas Power Plant the record of minimum time duration between the start of excavation for turbines up to synchronization of the first unit has been registered at 14 months.
