MAPNA Group hosted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, and his accompanying delegation on May 31, 2023.
At the start of this visit, MAPNA Group President Abbas Aliabadi pointed to the capabilities of the conglomerate in different industrial and economic fields.
He mentioned MAPNA Group’s capacities in engineering, equipment manufacturing and executing large-scale projects, and said that the group was ready to share its technical and engineering experiences with Turkmenistan.
Aliabadi also talked about how MAPNA Group uses expert staff, acquires world-class knowledge, develops advanced products and exports technical and engineering services. He said that the conglomerate follows global trends by transferring technology and partnering with international industrial enterprises, and localizes them. He described these as the main features of MAPNA Group.
Aliabadi listed some potential areas of cooperation between MAPNA Group and Turkmenistan, such as building power plants, supplying equipment and parts, operating and maintaining facilities, training staff, rebuilding and renovating thermal and renewable power plants, as well as providing oil engineering services, drilling services in developing oil and gas fields, building and supplying all kinds of locomotives, all kinds of cargo and passenger wagons and implementing metro and railway electrification projects.
After the meeting, Berdimuhamedow visited an exhibition of MAPNA Group’s technological capacities in various fields of business, including thermal and renewable power plants, oil and gas, petrochemicals, transportation, electrification, aviation industry, health, water and information technology. The exhibition was held at the site of MAPNA Generator Engineering and Manufacturing Company (PARS).
MAPNA Group and its subsidiaries have already carried out several projects in different countries in South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. These projects include consulting, technical and feasibility studies, engineering, supply and construction, as well as power plant services. The Turkmen official came to Iran at the head of a high-ranking delegation to meet with senior officials of the country.
