MAPNA Group, SATBA Sign MoU for 3,000 MW Renewable Power Plants A memorandum of understanding for investment, construction and operation of 3,000 megawatts of renewable power plants has been signed between MAPNA Group and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA).

A memorandum of understanding for investment, construction and operation of 3,000 megawatts of renewable power plants has been signed between MAPNA Group and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA).

The document was signed in a ceremony on the sidelines of Iran’s 14th International Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Exhibition, at Tehran International Permanent Fairground.

Under this agreement, MAPNA Group commits to put on the agenda the construction and commissioning of 3,000 megawatts of renewable power plants, including wind and solar farms.

In return, SATBA will provide the necessary permits and facilitate MAPNA’s access to financial resources, credit lines, and international commercial funding to ensure the project’s financing.

The signing ceremony was attended by MAPNA Group President Mohammad Owliya, CEO of SATBA Mohsen Tarztalab, and Khalil Behbahani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MAPNA Renewable Energies Generation Company.

The document comes amid MAPNA Group’s efforts to help address the country’s power supply imbalance.

The conglomerate had already expressed readiness to actively invest in, construct, and commission renewable energy plants to supply electricity through the Iran Energy Exchange, sell it to industries and cryptocurrency miners, or offer it via guaranteed purchase contracts.

The MoU was signed after the government’s interest in MAPNA Group’s capabilities.

Additionally, on the first day of the event, another MoU was signed for the construction of two power plants: a 25 MW plant in Deh Debagh and a 10 MW plant in Anar, both located in Kerman Province, south of Iran. This agreement was signed between the CEO of Tabesh Khorshid Tir Company and the CEO of MAPNA Renewable Energies Generation Company.

The exhibition opened on January 2 with the participation of 150 Iranian and 19 foreign companies from Austria, China, the UAE, Germany, Oman, and Turkey. The international event will wrap up today.
