This achievement came merely 136 days after the turbine’s arrival at the power plant.
This milestone was accomplished through the tireless efforts of the employees and specialists of MAPNA Group during the country’s peak electricity consumption period, at a time when the national grid is facing a significant imbalance.
The technical specifications of this project involve the utilization of MAPNA Group’s MGT-70 gas turbines, each boasting a capacity of 183 megawatts. With this gas unit now operational, and based on a consumption pattern of 300 kilowatts for average subscribers, over 395,000 households will benefit from this power plant unit’s generation capacity.
The Shahid Salimi Neka Power Plant had previously maintained continuous operation even during a recent 12-day challenging period in the country, demonstrating the resilience of Iran’s electricity industry professionals through round-the-clock efforts.
Now, with the synchronization of this power plant during one of the most critical peak electricity consumption periods, a significant portion of the existing imbalance has been addressed, marking an effective step towards ensuring a stable energy supply for the nation.
Also known as Shahid Salimi, Neka Power Plant is situated in Neka County, 25 kilometers along the Zaghmarz Road, Mazandaran Province. The client for this project is the Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH), and Moshanir Company serves as its consultant.
