Project Specifications

The project for Semnan Gas Power Plant comprises two gas units with a capacity of 162 MW each (324 MW in total) at ISO conditions. The project is located 10 km from Semnan on the road to Damghan. All the units of the power plant have been delivered to the client on provisional (PAC) basis.

The client of the project is Iran Power Development Company (IPDC), the client consultant is Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers Company and the main contractor is MANPA MD-1 Company. The capacity of the substation of Semnan Power Plant is 400 kV and engineering, procurement and construction of the project have been defined within the scope of the activities of the project client.

MANPA MD-1 Company started construction operations of the power plant on 15 January 2009 and the first unit of the power plant was synchronized on 25 December 2010, about two years after the launch of the project. The project has been accomplished on the basis of the approved strategy within the framework of a contract for 22 units in engineering, procurement and implementation sectors. In the calendar year 1392 (2013-2014) on the basis of changes in MAPNA Group strategy, the responsibility of MD-1 Company in this project was changed to management contracting (MC).
