Soltaniyeh (Zanjan III) Gas Power Plan

Project Specifications

Soltaniyeh (Zanjan III) Gas Power Plant Project consists of four gas units with a capacity of 162 MW (648 MW in total) at ISO conditions in which four V94.2 gas turbines have been used.

The power plant is located 25 km from Zanjan on the highway to Qazvin and in the direction of Sorkheh Dizaj village. So far all the units of the power plant have been delivered to the client on provisional basis. The project client is Iran Power Development Company (IPDC) and the client consultant is Ghods Niroo Consultant Engineers Company.

Meanwhile, the main contractor of the project is MAPNA MD-1 Company which started construction operation for the power plant on 11 February 2009. Construction operations for Soltaniyeh Power Plant in Zanjan lasted about 20 months and its first unit was synchronized on 27 August 2010.

Engineering, procurement and construction of the substation of the power plant with a capacity of 400 kV has been the responsibility of the client company. In addition, on the basis of the approved strategy, the project has been implemented within the framework of 10 contracts with subcontractors in the engineering, procurement and construction areas. In the calendar year 1392 (2013-2014), on the basis of a plan for strategic change in MAPNA Group, the responsibility of MD-1 Company in this project was changed to management contracting (MC).
