MAPNA Group has been working hard to up its game in the power sector through a multitude of strategies, with the aim of outperforming rivals via superior products and services.
The Group has cast a special focus on gas turbines, which have captured a significant portion of the industrial prime-mover market, and developed MGT-70 (3), a product of its MAP2B R&D project.

June 2020 is the third anniversary of launching MAP2B, MAPNA Group’s homegrown gas turbine which was a turning point in independent design and manufacture of gas turbines in the company. Aiming to boost the performance of E-class V94.2 turbines, the largest fleet operating in Iran’s power sector, the project inaugurated in 2011 and was carried out in three phases in six years. MAP2B was the fruit of the third phase.

A power plant owner can compare their two plants with just a few clicks under similar conditions, and if there is an imbalance or inefficiency, they can further investigate and modify the processes easily to in order to boost power output.

MAPNA Group officially acquired Wagon Pars rolling stock manufacturing company (WPCO) and its subsidiaries on December 16, 2020, after the group signed a contract with the Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) – WPCO’s previous owner.

Combined cycle power plants have gained a traction in global markets, claiming a significant portion of the total power generation portfolio over the past years.
