Braking System
MAPNA Rail Technologies is capable of designing and manufacturing braking systems for various types of rail vehicles. In a general classification, the produced braking systems can be put into two categories:
- Braking systems for passenger rail vehicles: including passenger locomotives, passenger cars, and subway cars
- Braking systems for freight rail vehicles: including freight locomotives and freight wagons
The company’s product portfolio includes two types of braking systems for freight locomotives. The MB-L05 braking system is a triple-pipe electro-pneumatic braking system with three modes; independent, automatic, and park. This braking system is used in the MAP24 freight locomotive project. The company is also developing another type of braking system, the MB-L06, which is also electro-pneumatic and will be used in the MAP30 locomotive production project.
