oxygen concentrator

Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in Iran in early 2020, MAPNA Group began producing a variety of important medical equipment, such as oxygen concentrators, to meet the growing domestic demand, and in accordance with its ethical and corporate social duties. The Group quickly unveiled the first indigenous oxygen concentrator, which is now in operation at Tehran’s Amir A’lam Hospital. MAPNA is currently producing 20 oxygen concentrators with a capacity of 600 liters.

The oxygen concentrator works based on the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) protocol, which uses ambient air as raw material. Ambient air contains 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, and 1% of other gases. Through the PSA process, which is a static separation of air gases via a specific molecular sieve, the compressed air is filtered, degreased and dried and the production pressure is automatically regulated. Air passes through the molecular sieves where nitrogen is adsorbed by the zeolite, increasing oxygen concentration up to 95%-98%.

The MAPNA oxygen concentrator is offered in different capacities to meet various patient needs.
