MAPNA Group achieved the Leading Holding Company Award at the Second International Conference on Holding Companies on Monday, January 25, 2016.
The conference was held in IRIB International Conference Center in Tehran, Iran.
United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) representative Alessandro Amadio, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Ali Yazdani, members of the public and private sector, and representatives from Malaysian and South Korean businesses attended the conference.
Head of the Evaluation and Ranking Committee Ali Sadri called the conference an opportunity to examine opportunities and threats lying ahead of Iranian businesses, and a venue for members of the public and private sector to exchange ideas. Sadri also addressed the criteria for granting awards. “The key criterion for ranking the holdings was their revenue/investment ratio” he said.
Implementation of risk management plans, execution of corporate governance mechanisms, financing holding companies and establishing new management structures in holdings were some of the themes covered during the conference.
The first edition of International Conference on Holding Companies was held in February 2015.
