The 2016 edition of Power-Gen Africa, the largest gathering of power industry in the continent, was held on 19-21 July in South Africa.
The event, hosted in Sandton Convention Center, Johannesburg, was attended by leading power and energy companies from across the globe.
Iran’s leading power contractor MAPNA Group also attended Power-Gen Africa 2016, showcasing its latest achievements in the power plant industry. Representatives from MAPNA’s power, manufacturing, investment and communications & marketing divisions attended the event and discussed opportunities for collaboration with their international partners, including projects in Middle East and African markets.
MAPNA’s latest achievements in turbine blade design, small-scale combined cycle power plants, mobile power plants and latest investment plans were displayed for visitors.
Investment in Africa’s energy sector, new technologies, renewable energies, and power market analysis were some of the main themes covered during the three-day event. The previous edition was also held in South Africa, in the city of Cape Town.
