SECOND GAS UNIT OF GOL GOHAR POWER PLANT SYNCHRONIZED

The second gas unit of Gol Gohar Combined Cycle Power Plant (GGCCPP) was synchronized to the national grid on 10:34 AM, July 28th, 2016.

The second gas unit of Gol Gohar Combined Cycle Power Plant (GGCCPP) was synchronized to the national grid on 10:34 AM, July 28th, 2016.

MAPNA Construction and Development of Combined Cycle Plants (MD2) was contractor for engineering, execution and procurement of Gol Gohar Power Plant project.

Gohar Energy Sirjan commissioned the project, while Ghods Niroo served as engineering consultant.

With synchronization of the second gas unit in GGCCPP, the aggregate synchronized units by MD2 reached 11077 MWs in 74 units.

A 16-month deadline was set for synchronization of the first gas unit, and a 2-month deadline for the following units. Complete commissioning is planned for 12 months after partial commissioning.

Gol Gohar region, known for its iron ore mine, is located 50 kilometers from Sirjan, Kerman Province.
