MAPNA Group was host to Republic of Armenia’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan on Wednesday July 27, 2016.
Mr. Yolyan, who led a delegation of senior ministerial officials in this visit, took a tour of MAPNA Group’s factories located in Karaj, west of Tehran. Armenia’s ambassador to Iran Artashes Tomanian accompanied Mr. Yolyan during this visit.
MAPNA President Abbas Aliabadi provided an overview of the group’s history, fields of activity and products and services in the beginning of the visit. Addressing joint hydroelectric power generation projects between Tehran and Yerevan, Mr. Aliabadi expressed MAPNA’s readiness to engage in power and energy projects in collaboration with Armenian counterparts.
The Armenian delegation visited MAPNA’s Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA) and Generator Engineering and Manufacturing Company (PARS) during their tour, where they were acquainted with processes of design and manufacturing of power plant equipment. The four-hour visit ended with luncheon and signing of MAPNA Group’s guest book by Mr. Levon Yolyan.
