MAPNA Group Wins Iran’s ‘Distinguished’ Exporter Award for Third Consecutive Year

MAPNA Group was honored as a “distinguished” exporter of the year in Iran for the third year in a row.

The Plaque of Appreciation was given to MAPNA President Mohammad Owliya in a ceremony on October 20 that marked the 27th National Export Day in Tehran’s Summit Hall.

Organized by the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) in collaboration with the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), the ceremony was attended by Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Abbas Aliabadi, Iran’s Parliament Economic Commission Chief, Mohammad-Mehdi Pourebrahimi, and Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari.

The top exporters of the country were selected and evaluated based on a process that started a few months ago. The process involved two parts: one was self-declaration by the companies, and the other was based on the statistics of their export performance.

Addressing the event, Aliabadi praised the ministry’s efforts to increase the country’s trade. He said that the ministry had taken many positive steps to improve the country’s economic relations with its trade partners since the current government took office. He gave an example of setting up a barter trade system with Belarus, which he achieved during his recent visit to that country.

A quick look at MAPNA exports

This is the third year in a row that MAPNA Group has received this award. MAPNA Group has so far been recognized three times as a “distinguished” exporter and five times as an “exemplary” exporter in the country.

MAPNA Group’s exports are mainly engineering services as well as technological products. MAPNA Group is a leading exporter of engineering services in Iran, with several major projects in different countries. One of its most impressive achievements is the Rumaila Combined Cycle Power Plant, which will boost the Iraqi national grid by more than 3,000 MW when completed. This is the largest project of its kind in Iran’s history of exporting engineering services. Moreover, MAPNA Group has also been involved in various other projects abroad, where it has demonstrated its quality and competitiveness against international rivals.
