MAPNA Completes Telecom Part of National Dispatching Project

The telecommunication section of the National Dispatching Project, which covers more than 500 substations and regional power centers across Iran, has been permanently delivered to the project client by MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-1), representing MAPNA Group.

The project aims to establish a decentralized and direct information transmission system between the sender and the receiver, based on the passive defense policies, using an IP-based network with multiple redundancy capabilities.

This is the first information transmission network in the electricity industry that is built on the IP platform.

The project involved laying more than 800 kilometers of optical fiber in the provinces of Tehran, Qazvin, Gilan and Zanjan to connect the main and supporting centers from two separate routes, installing more than 200 PLC and DPLC terminals, using more than 400 CGR and ASR smart network routers in all power plants and transmission stations in the country, and setting up the VOICE network on the IP platform with more than 300 IP PHONE devices and converters in substations and power plants across the country.
