Tehran, Iran– The first series of MAPNA 2.5 MW wind turbines were delivered to Kahak Wind Farm contractor on 31 august.
The series include eight wind turbines each of 2.5 MW capacity, to be installed and synchronized by MAPNA Group in Qazvin. The length of each blade of turbine is 50.3 m; rotor diameter is 104 m; tower height is 85 m; and the weight of the whole complex totals 95 tons.
Each MAPNA-made wind turbine generates electricity within the wind speed range of 3.5-25 m/s. MAPNA directing manager told reporters during the delivery ceremony that by the end of the financial year ending in March 21, 2016, MAPNA Group will manufacture its first 25 MW mobile turbine.
