In a recent announcement made through the publishers’ comprehensive information system (CODAL), MAPNA Group introduced its new president and the latest changes to its Board of Directors.
The company held a meeting on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 to determine their positions in accordance with Articles No. 119, 124, and 128 of the Trade Law.
During the meeting, the contributions of the former board members were acknowledged, particularly Dr. Abbas Aliabadi, now Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, who spearheaded significant improvements and advancements during his tenure at MAPNA Group.
The meeting concluded with Mohammed Owliya, the current CEO of MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (Tuga), was elected as a member of the board of directors and subsequently appointed as the new president of MAPNA Group.
Additionally, the meeting approved the election of Mr. Alireza Khojasteh Vahabzadeh as the chairman of the board of directors, Khalil Behbahani as the vice chairman, and Mohsen Amiri as the new member of the board.
The newly appointed president, Mohammed Owliya, was born in 1970 and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and a master’s degree from Sharif University of Technology. He completed his doctoral studies in production systems at the University of Birmingham, England. Owliya has been a part of MAPNA Group since 1999, serving in various executive and managerial roles as well as participating in the boards of several MAPNA Group subsidiaries. With the appointment of Mohammed Owliya as the president and the formation of the new board of directors, MAPNA Group looks forward to an era of dynamic leadership and continued growth under their guidance.
