MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) Company received final acceptance certificate (FAC) on January 12, 2020, for the second steam portion of Abadan power plant.
With final delivery of this unit, MD-2 has now received FAC for 85 units with an aggregate capacity of 12,853 MWs.
Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant Project
The steam portion was constructed as an addendum to the original contract for construction of Abadan thermal power plant, signed in 2006. The power plant is located at the 9th kilometer of Abadan-Mahshahr road.
The steam portion of the power plant comprises of two E-type 160-MW steam turbines, HRSG (heat recovery system generator) with supplementary firing, ACC cooling system, and a 400-kv substation.
Thermal Power Plants Holding Company is the client of the project and Moshanir serves as the consultant and supervisor.
