The IGMC (Iran Grid Management Company) six-month report for 1404 (March 21, 2025 – September 22, 2025) reveals that MAPNA Group holds a significant portion of Iran’s wind power capacity.
At the top of the list is MAPNA’s Mil Nader wind farm, with a capacity factor above 66 %. Other MAPNA-related plants such as Khaf, Kahak, Aqkand, and Dorh also rank highly.
Out of 19 wind farms assessed, three are owned by MAPNA Iranian Power Plant Management Holding and MAPNA Renewable Energies Generation Company.
These are located in Sistan & Baluchestan, East Azarbaijan, and Qazvin provinces. Two additional farms in Razavi Khorasan and South Khorasan use MAPNA-supplied equipment. The farms are Mil Nader (Sistan & Baluchestan), Aqkand (East Azarbaijan), Kahak 1, 2 & 3 (Qazvin), Dorh (South Khorasan), and Khaf (Razavi Khorasan).
During the first half of 1404, MAPNA’s wind-owned plants produced 361.9 GWh of electricity. This output reflects their operational efficiency and strong management.
In the national ranking, Mil Nader leads with over 66 % capacity factor. Kahak 2 recorded over 48 %, and Kahak 1 had nearly 48 %, placing them third and fourth among all wind farms nationwide.
Energy analysts say MAPNA’s strong presence enforces both the share of renewables and the development path for wind infrastructure in Iran. The firm’s focus on modern technology and efficient operation could serve as a model for wind development in other high-wind regions of the country.
