Makran Desalination Plant

Project Specifications

The desalination plant, located near the strategic port of Chabahar in southwest Iran, has a daily production capacity of 40,000 cubic meters of potable water. The under-construction plant employs the Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) technology, which is a membrane-based process that removes salt and other dissolved solids from seawater using high pressure. The project is executed by MAPNA Special Projects Construction and Development Company (MD-3) as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor.
