Project Specifications

MAPNA Group’s Kermanshah Zagros Power Plant consists of four gas-fueled units each with a capacity of 162 MW (total 648 MW) at ISO conditions. The gas turbines are of V94.2 type, operating under MAPNA Group’s NIAM (MAPNA Standard Power Plant) scheme.
Located on 25th kilometer of Kermanshah-Hamedan Road, the power plant has received PAC for all units. Units I & II have received final acceptance certificate (FAC). 
Thermal Power Plants Holding Company is the client of this project and Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers Company serves as the consultant.
The main contractor of the project, MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company, began the construction operation on December 24, 2009.
The operation and construction of Kermanshah Zagros Power Plant was completed in 18 months, and its first unit was synchronized to the grid on July 15, 2010.
Engineering, procurement and construction of the 400-kV substation was carried out by the client.
Twenty-two subcontractors carried out operation at the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phase.
In 2012, project management was handed over to MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) Company.
The first and second units received FAC on December 4, 2013, and April 26, 2015 respectively.
