The third steam unit of Sabalan Combined Cycle Power Plant was successfully synchronized to the national grid by MAPNA Group experts.
The power plant is equipped with three steam units, each with a capacity of 160 MW and uses E-Type (E30-16-1-1×6.3) turbines as wells as Heller cooling towers.
The power is located at the 35th km mark between Ardabil and Meshginshahr, Ardabil Province.
Sabalan Bargh Omid Company is the client of the project.
With the synchronization of this unit, MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction and Development Company (MD-2) has now synchronized 121 units to the grid with an aggregate capacity of 18,938 MW.
