The men’s volleyball team of MAPNA Wagon Pars won the title of the 2023 edition of World Company Sport Games.
The team earned a 2-0 victory over Mobarakeh Steel Company, another Iranian representative, in the final match on Saturday.
The World Company Sport Games 2023 is an international event that brings together employees from 50 different countries to compete and socialize through various sports activities.
Seven teams from Iran, the US, Switzerland, Mexico, and France took part in men’s open volleyball.
MAPNA Pars Wagon team had earlier won titles in provincial and national workers’ competitions, winning a ticket to the world event.
The international games were held in León, Mexico, from December 6th to 10th, 2023, marking the first time that it was taking place outside Europe.
The games are organized by the World Federation for Company Sport (WFCS), a non-profit organization that promotes company sports across all continents. The games featured 18 sports disciplines, such as athletics, volleyball, basketball, chess, golf, soccer, and tennis, as well as cultural and recreational activities.
