First Gas Unit of Ardakan Power Plant Temporarily Handed Over

MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-1) Company received a provisional acceptance certificate (PAC) for the first gas unit of Ardakan Power Plant on October 20, 2024.

Located in Ardakan, Yazd province, the power plant comprises a 546 MW combined cycle block. This includes two gas units, each with a capacity of 183 MW, and one steam unit with a capacity of 180 MW.

The plant utilizes two MGT70-3 gas turbines, an air-cooled condenser (ACC) system, and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) equipped with an auxiliary burner.

The recently-delivered unit was synchronized to the grid in June, as it was completed in a record time of nine months.

The project is commissioned by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, with Moshanir serving as the consultant and supervisor. With the temporary handover of this unit, the total number of power plant units that have received PAC by MD-1 has reached 118 units, with a cumulative capacity of 18,438 MW.
