Ardebil Gas Power Plant
Project Specifications
Ardebil Gas Power Plant consists of four gas units with a capacity of 157.5 MW each (630 MW in total) at ISO conditions. Four V94.2 gas turbines have been used in the power plant. Also, the development plan of the power plant has been implemented with the addition of two new gas units of V94.2 gas turbine type each with a capacity of 162 MW (324 MW in total).
The power plant is located 35 km from Ardebil on the road to Meshkin Shahr and Germi in an area of 70 hectares. The client of Ardebil Gas Power Plant is Iran Power Development Company (IPDC), the client consultant is Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers Company and the main contractor is MAPNA MD-1 Company.
The date of land allotment and start of construction operations of Ardebil Gas Power Plant was 14 March 2006. The first unit of the power plant was synchronized on 18 March 2008.
Also, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the substation of the power plant with a capacity of KV230 was within the responsibility of the client. On the other hand, based on the approved strategy the project was implemented in its first phase within the framework of 14 contracts and in the development plan within the framework of 17 contracts with subcontractors in engineering, procurement and construction sections. So far all the units of the gas power plant (four units in the first stage and two units in the development plan) have been delivered to the client. Also, two units of the power plant have been permanently delivered. Meantime, based on the plan for change in strategy of MAPNA Group, since the calendar year 1392 (started 21 March 2014) the responsibility of MAPNA MD-1 Company in the project was changed to management contacting (MC).
