MAPNA Group has won a tender according to which it will establish several solar power plants with a total capacity of 430 MWs.
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) had put developing a total of 4,000 MWs of solar power plants to a major tender some three months earlier.
According to the results that have been recently announced after finalizing the assessments, winners of a total of 1424 MWs have been determined so far.
Every power plant built under this program will have more than 10 MWs of capacity.
The tender was held according to regulations aiming to encourage the private sector to invest and cooperate in the country’s economic programs.
MAPNA Group has constructed and operated Kahak solar farm in Qazvin while also developing another farm in Ardkan, Yazd.
The 2-MW Kahak solar power plant, which is MAPNA’s first solar power station was constructed in 2018.
MAPNA Group has taken firm steps in the field of design, engineering, and implementing renewable projects such as wind and solar under various investment schemes. It is currently taking measures to sell products in the global market without CO2 emission under the Clean Development Mechanism Scheme (CDM).
