MAPNA Group has signed a contract with Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH), a subsidiary of Energy Ministry, to build six medium-scale gas power plants.
The deal was signed by MAPNA Group President Abbas Aliabadi and TPPH’s Managing Director Mohsen Tarztalab on Wednesday, December 9, 2021.
The deal comprises the construction of six medium-scale gas blocks, including seven gas units, each with a nominal capacity of 41.6 MW, as well as other necessary systems and ancillary equipment.
As per the deal, two units will be built in Zahedan Power Plant, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and one unit in: Morvarid Power Plant in Kish Island, Banglan (Jask) Power Plant in Hormozgan Province, Doroud Power Plant Lorestan Province, Shush Power Plant in Khuzestan Province and Khatam Power Plant in Yazd Province.
The project is envisaged to be completed within 24 months, and the 12-month warranty period will commence after the temporary delivery of each unit.
The power plants will be equipped with a wide range of MAPNA Group’s products and systems, including the MGT40 gas turbine, generators, power and control systems, and ancillary equipment.
MAPNA’s medium-scale power plants also have the ability to generate offshore and off-grid power and are economically suitable for various industries.
The advantages of these units include proper construction, installation and commissioning speed. Another advantage of these units is the limited land area required.
