The 21st edition of Iran International Electricity Exhibition (IEE-2021) opened at the International Permanent Fairground in capital Tehran on Friday, Oct. 29, and will go through Monday, Nov. 01.

The 21st edition of Iran International Electricity Exhibition (IEE-2021) opened at the International Permanent Fairground in capital Tehran on Friday, Oct. 29, and will go through Monday, Nov. 01.

A regular attendant of the event, MAPNA Group has participated in the exhibition, displaying its latest achievements and discussing opportunities for partnership in the current year’s edition of IEE.

Iran’s Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian visited the Group’s pavilion on the inaugural day of the event and was briefed about the latest achievements and capabilities of MAPNA subsidiaries in the key sector.

The minister highlighted the private sector’s vital role in the country’s industrial development and hailed MAPNA’s innovative ways to realize such plans.

He noted that there is a direct link between economic growth and power consumption, such that economy cannot boom as long as electricity is not used efficiently.

According to the Mehrabian, Iran has access to huge hydrocarbon resources and the best strategy to take advantage of them is to convert fossil fuel energy to electricity to not only meet domestic needs but also to generate revenue via export.

“As an important production factor, electricity can and should help us manufacture value-added goods, which would create jobs in other sectors,” he added.

Accommodated in a large pavilion at the Persian Gulf Hall of the fairground, MAPNA Group’s companies are showcasing their latest achievements to the visitors, including electric vehicles, renewables, wind and gas turbines, and distributed water and power generation.

The Group has been working hard to up its game in the electricity sector through a multitude of strategies, with the aim of outperforming rivals via superior products and services.

MAPNA has cast a special focus on the electrification of the transportation fleet, and development of green energies.

MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO) and Parsan Electric Bus Production Company – commercially known as ‘Shetab’ – have put on display their all-electric pickup and bus models.

This year’s IEE features over 245 domestic companies as well as 11 foreign exhibitors from China, Italy, Turkey, Canada, Germany, France, and Japan.

The exhibition covers a variety of areas including lighting, wire and cable, electrical panels, electrical equipment, automation and instrumentation systems, and transmission lines.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the exhibit will be only open for experts, officials and businessmen active in the industry in full compliance with health protocols.

The objective of this exposition is to act as a comprehensive resource for those active in the industry, by providing in-depth information about its status and latest trends influencing its progress.
