MAPNA Group synchronized its 25-MW mobile power plant to the national grid on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in Saravan, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan.
The mobile power plant was initially operating in Nowshahr, in the northern province of Mazandaran, where it compensated for the summer peak demand in the Caspian region. The plant was dismantled upon request by state-owned Thermal Power Plants Holding Company and transferred to Saravan, 1900 kilometers southeast of Nowshahr.
The 25-MW plant runs on diesel fuel. It utilizes MAPNA Group’s MGT-30 turbine with an enhanced combustion and control system which was put to test in Parand Combined Cycle Power Plant last winter.
Earlier in November 2018, MAPNA Group’s had launched its homegrown MGT-40 gas turbine in Zahedan, center of the Sistan and Baluchistan Province, as part of its campaign to supply power of this border region.
