MAPNA Drilling Company has completed the drilling operations of two vertical wells in Danan Oil Field in Ilam Province.

MAPNA Drilling Company has completed the drilling operations of two vertical wells in Danan Oil Field in Ilam Province.
Managing Director of MAPNA Drilling Company Fazel Jamalzadeh said the drilling operations of wells 13 and 14 in Danan Oil Field, each with a depth of about 3,500 meters, were completed on Tuesday, June 16.
“The flow test of Well 13 was successfully operated on the same day with a capacity of 1,500 barrels per day,” he said, adding that Well 14 will also be tested within the next 24 hours.
He said, “The realized output of Well 13 is 600 bpd more than expectations by the project’s client, Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.”
Jamalzadeh noted that the Danan development project is now 59.8% complete, adding, “the improved oil recovery scheme includes 11 wells, of which four have been drilled, and another one will be completed in the near future.”
The project is expected to add 7,000 bpd to the field’s output, 3,400 bpd more than the client’s expectations, he added.
The CEO of MAPNA Drilling Company said, “despite some existing restrictions, we are exerting every effort to reach the estimated goals as soon as possible.”
MAPNA Group and Iranian Central Oil Fields Company signed a contract for improved oil recovery (IOR) in Danan Oil Field back in January 2019.
MAPNA Drilling Company is responsible for all the engineering, procurement and drilling (EPD) operations of the project.
MAPNA Group’s assignments also include, the design and execution of acid fracturing operation, and geophysical services (3D seismic survey, data processing, and interpretation) in an area of 230 square kilometers, as well as skid mounted desalination with a capacity of 10,000 bpd, and construction of a 55-km pipeline.
Danan Oil field was discovered in 2007 and started production in 2014.
The field’s oil is transferred to Dehloran processing unit for sweetening and compression, before transfer to Cheshmeh Khosh desalination complex via a 16-inch pipeline with a length of 52 kilometers.
