Two Gas-fired Units of Qeshm Power Plant Synchronized to the Grid

Units I and II of Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant were synchronized to the grid by MAPNA Group.

Unit I was synchronized to the grid on September 13, 2020. The second unit was connected only five days later, on September 18th.
About Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant
Located in Qeshm, the largest island of the Persian Gulf, Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant includes two 170-MW gas-fired turbogenerators of MAP2A type, MAPNA Group’s homegrown product, and a single steam turbine with a capacity of 160 MWs at ISO conditions.
MAPNA Special Projects Construction & Development Company (MD-3) is the executor of the project under an EPC scheme.
Energy Gostar Qeshm is the client of the project.
