MAPNA Group wins ‘National Iranian Steel Award’ during 6th National Steel Festival and Exhibition of Iran

The statuette as well as the certificate of appreciation of the 6th Iranian National Steel Festival and Exhibition was awarded to MAPNA Group for "technology development, localization and transfer of technical knowledge based on the needs of the iron and steel chain."

MAPNA Group Vice President Alireza Yazdizadeh received the award at a ceremony. The board of directors of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) honored MAPNA Group for the localization of combined cycle power plant processes at Mobarakeh Steel Company as well as other steel companies in the country.

Part of the text of the certificate of appreciation reads: “Relying on domestic capabilities and endogenous national potentials to reduce dependence on foreign countries is one of the most important axes of the Resistance Economy. Utilizing new indigenous technologies and practical innovations is certainly very effective in achieving this goal.”

It is worth noting that a number of other engineering companies were also honored as the leading knowledge-based and manufacturing companies in the Iranian iron and steel chain during this event.

The 6th edition of Iran’s National Steel Festival and Exhibition was held from January 7 to 9 at Milad Tower conference center in Tehran. The Steel Festival and Exhibition of Iran is an annual event organized by Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA). The event hosts producers and suppliers from the iron and steel industry and aims to promote increased collaboration between the industry and knowledge-based companies as well as development and localization of technology.
