Tehran, August 30 – Ghanaian foreign minister met MAPNA Group directing manager on 24 august to discuss ways to promote bilateral ties.

Tehran, August 30 – Ghanaian foreign minister met MAPNA Group directing manager on 24 august to discuss ways to promote bilateral ties.

Ms. Hanna Tetteh, who is leading a Ghanaian delegation to Iran, also attended MAPNA Groups Central Office to gain acquaintance with the Group’s capabilities in business and industry.

The meeting provided Ms. Tetteh a comprehensive set of information and the delegation welcomed the scope of the Group’s activity. The meeting also addressed possible areas for cooperation between MAPNA and Ghana and ways to promote bilateral relations.

MAPNA’s directing manager Abbas Aliabadi expressed gratitude for Ms. Tetteh’s visit to the company and voiced the Group’s willingness to boost relations in different sectors, including construction of electricity power plants, upstream industries projects, development of natural gas fields, and training Ghanaian electricity expert human forces. The delegation welcomed the suggestions.

Ms. Tetteh praised the scope and the strength of MAPNA’s capabilities, cutting-edge technology and facilities and expressed hope that in her future meeting, she could revisit the company. “Our examinations clearly indicate that MAPNA Group could have a crucial role in helping Ghanaian industry in tackling challenges in terms of technical and investment needs,” she told in the meeting.

Ms. Tetteh also deemed export of electricity as her country’s prime objective. “Electricity industry is highly important for a country like Ghana to help expand exports and technical advancement of the country, and we need electricity in a critical scale” she said, adding that Ghanaian government will support MAPNA Group with all its resources; in the case that it participates in a certain project.

An agreement was also signed between MAPNA and the Ghanaian delegation. According to the agreement, Monenko Co. would represent MAPNA in carrying out a two-month field exploration of the country’s electricity industry and would make conclusions for a final contract agreement between authorities.
