MAPNA Group received a provisional acceptance certificate (PAC) for the 400 KV substation of the Sabzevar Combined Cycle Power Plant in northeast Iran.
The certificate was delivered to MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-1) on June 28, 2024.
This substation features three bays. Two of these bays connect to the Sarbedaran and Sabzevar substations, while the third connects to the Mayamey substation.
The first gas unit of the power plant was officially inaugurated to mark the start of the 183-MW unit on June 20.
The plant, upon completion, can produce 546 MW of electricity using two MAP2B gas turbines (each with a capacity of 183 MW) and one steam turbine (with a capacity of 180 MW). Additionally, a 400 kV substation ensures efficient power distribution.
The Sabzevar combined cycle power plant is situated on a 42-hectare site, along the Sabzevar road towards Shahrood. The project’s client is Ofogh Tosé Energy Khalij Fars Company and Moshanir serves as the consultant.
