MAPNA Group was chosen as the top Iranian contractor company by Industrial Management Institute during an annual awards ceremony held on Monday.

MAPNA Group was chosen as the top Iranian contractor company by Industrial Management Institute during an annual awards ceremony held on Monday.

The holding company secured the top spot in contractor companies’ category thanks to its impressive balance sheets during the fiscal year of March 21, 2015-March 21, 2016. The nineteenth edition of IMI100 was held in IRIB International Conference Center in northern Tehran on Monday, January 23, 2017. In the general category, MAPNA Group achieved the overall rank of 28 in terms of annual sales in a list dominated by banks and petrochemical refineries.

Besides the parent company, 15 subsidiaries of the group were also ranked among the top 500 domestic companies in various sectors, all experiencing remarkable improve in their rankings. These included MAPNA Turbine Engineering & Manufacturing Company (100), MAPNA Construction and Development of Combined Cycle Power Plants (174), MAPNA Construction and Development of Power Plants (179), Nasb Niroo (194), MAPNA Pars (213), Neyre Perse (238), and MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (274), Alborz Turbine Engineering and Support Company (286), MAPNA Railway Operation Development & Maintenance Company (290), MAPNA Railway Construction and Development Company (309), MAPNA Drilling Company (325), MAPNA STS (351), Mavadkaran (374), Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers Company (399), and MAPNA Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company (432)..

TUGA ranked 4th among newcomers to the top-100 list with a rank improvement of 35 thanks to its increasing sales in the last Persian year, while MAPNA Railway Operation, Development & Maintenance Company also ranked first among the 3rd tier companies (201st-300th) in terms of return of assets.

In the subcategory of Machineries, Equipment and Metal Industries five subsidiaries of MAPNA Turbine Engineering & Manufacturing Company (TUGA), MAPNA Pars, MECO, Mavadkaran, and MAPNA Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company achieved third, twenty-fourth and twenty-seventh ranks respectively.

MAPNA Railway Operation, Development & Maintenance Company became second and Monenco sixth in the Technical and Engineering Services subcategory while MAPNA Drilling Company ranked 7th in Exploration, Extraction and Ancillary Services subcategory.

Besides the parent enterprise that ranked as first, the contractor category included five other MAPNA Group subsidiaries of Neyre Perse (11), MAPNA Construction and Development of Combined Cycle Power Plants (8), MAPNA Construction and Development of Power Plants (9), Nasb Niroo (10) and MAPNA Railway Construction and Development Company (13), among the first fifteen.

The IMI100 annual award established by Industrial Management Institute, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Industry, Mine & Trade. Companies are ranked according to several factors including annual sale, productivity, profit margin, and volume of exports.
