MAPNA Healthcare Company has added three more ISO standards to its previous ones, establishing an integrated management system in September 2022.

After going through third-party assessments, the company was awarded ISO 14001:2015 environmental management systems, ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management systems, and ISO 14971:2019 application of risk management to medical devices.

The company had earlier attained ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and ISO 13485:2016 requirements for regulatory purposes of medical devices.

Both assessments were made by IMQ Company in mid-August and mid-September.

Meanwhile, MAPNA Healthcare Company has managed to install and operate 96 medical devices, including CT and MRI scanners and sonography and angiography machines, across the country according to its contractual commitments.

MAPNA-installed devices have so far offered medical imaging services to some four million Iranian patients.

Technological capabilities and business diversification, as well as Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education’s policy of outsourcing healthcare services, encouraged MAPNA Group to establish its healthcare division in the mid-2010s. Based on the April 2015 agreement with the Ministry of Health, MAPNA Group undertook purchase, importation, installation, and operation of medical imaging equipment for a ten-year period, as well as know-how transfer and domestic manufacture of medical equipment.

Subsequent to this agreement, MAPNA Healthcare Company signed contracts with several public universities of medical sciences (who, by law, administer public hospitals) to carry out the installation and operation of equipment for their affiliated medical centers.

The fields of activity of the company include procurement and supply of imaging equipment (CT scan, MRI, angiography, ultrasonography, and radiology devices) demanded by public hospitals’ imaging centers, investment and partnership in supplying medical centers with auxiliary equipment (UPS, cooling systems, access control systems, computer systems and equipment, and monitoring systems), and management and operation of public hospitals’ imaging centers.
