MAPNA Group and its oil and gas subsidiary Neyr Perse have been granted a deal to maintain and operate one of the key units in the South Pars Gas field.
The parties have signed the operation and maintenance contract for unit 106 of refineries on Site 2 of the South Pars gas complex. About 22% of the country’s produced gas is pumped through the unit.
The contract covers the 10th (phase 19), 11th (phase 13) and 12th (phases 22-24) refineries, which are located on Site 2 of the South Pars gas complex, the world’s largest gas field.
The scope of work of the contract includes supplying spare and consumable parts, performing basic and emergency repairs of MGT30/DU80 turbocompressors, maintaining and repairing, operating and managing unit 106 of the three refineries.
The contract is based on the operation, maintenance and repair (O&M) documents of refinery facilities centered on rotating machines in the oil industry (introduced in 2019), which are the first of their kind in the National Gas Company. According to these documents, the process of refinery units is outsourced by measuring the amount of gas production.
MAPNA Group has previously executed unit 106 of the three refineries in the form of EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) contracts, with the participation of its subsidiaries, such as MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA), MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO), and Alborz Turbine Engineering and Support Company. The group has been involved in the indigenization of the turbocompressor package.
