MAPNA Group officially opened Iran’s first production line of various electric vehicle chargers on December 8, 2023.
The line opened in a ceremony attended by Abbas Aliabadi, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade along with Mohammad Owliya, MAPNA Group President, and Mohammad Hossein Refan, CEO of MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO).
The production line is located at the site of MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO) in Karaj, Alborz Province.
Equipped with standard equipment, including a quality laboratory, the unit can produce over 14,000 chargers every year.
The unit can manufacture various types of stationary and portable chargers for both fast and standard charging.
This unit is set to produce 500 chargers for electric bus stations, 1200 fast chargers, 5000 conventional chargers, 5000 portable chargers, and 2800 stationary chargers for electric motorcycles annually.
