The MAPNA Group’s board of directors conducted a comprehensive review of the Rudshur Combined Cycle Power Plant, on March 3, 2024.
This follows a prior assessment by Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian in late December.
The board’s evaluation focused on the plant’s readiness to be synchronized with the national grid ahead of the anticipated peak consumption period of 2024. This project is a testament to MAPNA’s dedication to fulfilling national energy objectives.
Mohammad Owliya, President of MAPNA Group, emphasized the pivotal role such initiatives play in strengthening the nation’s energy infrastructure and fostering economic prosperity.
He commended the collaborative spirit exhibited across MAPNA’s divisions, which he believes is crucial for realizing sustainable development goals for the country.
The Rudshur plant, with its 345-megawatt capacity, is distinguished by its adoption of state-of-the-art Class F technology.
The project stands out for its superior quality of equipment, materials, and execution methodologies, marking a significant advancement over previous undertakings. Its strategic location near the capital further underscores its importance.
The project’s management is under the expertise of MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-1), a subsidiary known for its technical prowess, engineering ingenuity, and rich history of accomplishments. Among its achievements is the successful synchronization of 21,729 megawatts with the national power grid.
Located in Zarandieh, Markazi Province, southwest of Tehran, the power plant is a key project commissioned by the Amir Kabir Electricity Generation & Development Company.
The contract, initiated in August 2017, entrusts MAPNA Group with the comprehensive scope of engineering, constructing, installing, and commissioning the steam cycle, which will operate alongside the Rudshur Thermal Power Plant.
