MAPNA Receives PAC for Steam Cycle of Khorramabad Power Plant

MAPNA Group receives provisional acceptance certificate (PAC) for the steam cycle of Khorramabad Combined Cycle Power Plant.

MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) Company, the executor of the project, received the certificate on March 2, 2024.

With provisional delivery of the unit, MD-2 has now received PAC for 116 units with an aggregate capacity of 18,072 MW.

Located 10 kilometers from the city of Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan Province in western Iran, the combined cycle power plant comprises two gas-fired units (162 MW each) and one 160-MW steam cycle, totaling 484 megawatts.

The power plant is equipped with E-type gas and steam turbines manufactured by MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA), HRSG, and supplementary firing manufactured by MAPNA Boiler and Equipment Engineering and Manufacturing Company, power and control system developed by MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO), ACC cooling system, and 230-kV substation.  Khorramabad Power Generation Company is the client of the project. Moshanir is the project supervisor and consultant.
