MAPNA Group Earns Final Acceptance for Yazd Taban Power Plant’s Steam Cycle

The MAPNA Group has been awarded the final acceptance certificate (FAC) for the steam cycle of the Yazd Taban Combined Cycle Power Plant.

The certificate was granted to the project’s executor, MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) Company, on April 24, 2024.

Following the permenant delivery of the unit, MD-2 has now achieved FAC for a total of 121 units, boasting a combined capacity of 18,842 MWs.

The Yazd Taban Project, commissioned to MD-2 on April 20, 2012, is situated southeast of Yazd city in central Iran.

The power plant features two gas-fired units, each with a capacity of 162 MWs, and a steam unit with a capacity of 160 MWs. Additionally, it includes a Heller cooling tower and a 400-kv power transmission line. The project was undertaken for the Jam Energy Development Company, with Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers Company serving as the project consultant.
