MAPNA Receives PAC for First Gas-Fired Unit of Khorram Abad Power Plant

MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) Company received provisional acceptance certificate for the first gas-fired unit of Khorram Abad Combined Cycle Power Plant on June 20, 2020.

MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) Company received provisional acceptance certificate for the first gas-fired unit of Khorram Abad Combined Cycle Power Plant on June 20, 2020.
With provisional delivery of this unit, MD-2 has now received PAC for 95 units with an aggregate capacity of 14,573 MWs.
Khorramabad Combined Cycle Power Plant Project
Located 10 kilometers from the city of Khorramabad, center of Lorestan Province in western Iran, the combined cycle power plant comprises two gas-fired units (162 MWs each) and one 160-MW steam cycle, totaling 484 megawatts. The power plant is equipped with E-type gas and steam turbines manufactured by MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA), HRSG and supplementary firing manufactured by MAPNA Boiler and Equipment Engineering and Manufacturing Company, power and control system developed by MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO), ACC cooling system, and 230-kv substation.
The project was initially assigned to MAPNA Group and Farab Company. In 2012, the project was reassigned to MAPNA Group exclusively under a turnkey contract.
Khorramabad Power Generation Company is the client of the project. Matin Energy Development Company serves as MC, and Moshanir is the project supervisor and consultant.
