MAPNA Ready to Electrify Kish Island Infrastructure

Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Gholamhossein Mozaffari visited MAPNA Group facilities on December 22, 2019, to discuss investment and collaboration opportunities.

MAPNA President Abbas Aliabadi and Managing Director of MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA) Majid Bahmani presented the company’s history and activities in the first step of the tour.

The two sides discussed collaboration over development of water and power infrastructure, electric cabs, and smart auto infrastructure afterwards.

Pointing to Kish Island’s increasing demand for electricity and water as well as vehicle electrification, Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization highlighted the importance of collaboration with MAPNA Group to attain these goals.

MAPNA President Abbas Aliabadi highlighted MAPNA Group’s capabilities in construction of power plants, water and power cogeneration, and electrification of automobiles.

“MAPNA can supply Kish Free Zone with short-, middle-, and long-term solutions by installing 25-, 42-, and 185-MW mobile power plants” Aliabadi said, adding that the plants could also function as desalination utilities.

The delegation from Kish Free Zone Organization also toured MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA), MAPNA Generator Engineering and Manufacturing Company (PARS), and MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO) factories.
