The second steam cycle of Shirvan Combined Cycle Power Plant was synchronized to the national grid on 09:02, on Sunday, July 18, 2019.
With synchronization of this unit, MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-2) has now synchronized 96 units to the grid with an aggregate capacity of 14,743 MWs.
Shirvan Combined Cycle Power Plant Project
The plant is located 15 kilometers southeast of the city of Shirvan, Khorasan Razavi Province.
The project includes construction of 3 steam cycles each with a capacity of 160 MWs. The E-type steam turbines are manufactured by MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA). HRSG and supplementary firing are manufactured by MAPNA Boiler and Equipment Engineering and Manufacturing Company, and MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO) developed the power and control system.
The steam unit of the power plant uses a Heller cooling tower.
Thermal Power Plants Holding Company is the client of the project and Moshanir serves as consultant.
