MAPNA Power Service Company signed the agreement for the second Long-Term Extension (LTE 2) and the supply of required parts.
The MAPNA subsidiary offers a full range of life-extension solutions for power-plant units that have reached high operating hours, including the 200,000-hour threshold.
Kerman Power Plant is one of the earliest V94.2 gas turbine installations in the country. The operating hours of its gas units have now reached 200,000.
Since last year, MAPNA held multiple technical meetings with Kerman Power Generation Company and Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH).
Technical teams from several MAPNA factories—MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Co. (TUGA), MAPNA Generator Engineering and Manufacturing Co. (PARS), and MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Co. (MECO)—participated in presenting the overhaul proposal to the plant’s owner.
After the tender was issued, MAPNA Power Service Company won the competition by securing high technical scores and offering a competitive financial proposal.
This achievement is the result of close cooperation between the company’s operational, technical, and commercial teams and other MAPNA Group subsidiaries, including TUGA, PARS, and MECO.
This overhaul will be carried out for the first time in Iran, marking a significant milestone for the country’s power-plant service sector. The signing of the contract is expected to strengthen MAPNA’s role in expanding the national market for advanced power-plant maintenance and life-extension services.
