MAPNA Group’s Statement Regarding Article Published by Canada’s Global News

MAPNA Group issues the following statement in response to an article published by Global News concerning the Group’s areas of activity and the study visa application of an individual formerly employed by one of its subsidiary companies.

As a leading international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company, MAPNA Group categorically rejects all allegations contained in the referenced report. The narrative presented by Global News is entirely unfounded and unsupported by any credible evidence.

MAPNA Group is an industrial and engineering organization whose activities are exclusively focused on thermal and combined cycle power plants, desalination plants, rail transportation, as well as oil and gas industry projects. Any allegations that MAPNA has engaged in military-related activities or participated in efforts to circumvent sanctions is completely false, and totally inconsistent with the company’s grand strategy and operational practices.

In addition, the individual referenced in the report is a former employee of one of the subsidiary companies of MAPNA Group. His professional responsibilities were limited to the design of compressors of thermal power plant turbines. His application for a study visa, as well as any subsequent employment decision in the private sector, constitute personal matters pursued independently. Therefore, attributing an individual’s personal decisions to the organizational policies of MAPNA, reflects a lack of proper understanding of administrative and legal procedures governing large industrial companies.

MAPNA Group has always remained firmly committed to the principles of professional ethics, operational transparency, and full compliance with national and international laws and regulations. Accordingly, we expect Global News to uphold the standards of professional journalism by either promptly removing the published article or appropriate publication of this statement.

It should be noted that MAPNA Group reserves all rights to pursue appropriate legal action to protect its reputation and to tackle any form of unsubstantiated media reports that seek to undermine its credibility.
