Khorramabad Power Plant: MAPNA Obtains FAC for 1st Gas Unit

MAPNA Group received a final acceptance certificate (FAC) for the 1st gas unit of Khorramabad Combined Cycle Power Plant on April 8, 2024.
With the final delivery of this unit, MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-2) has now received FAC for 120 units to the grid with an aggregate capacity of 18,682 MW.
Located 10 kilometers from the city of Khorramabad, the center of Lorestan Province in western Iran, the combined cycle power plant comprises two gas-fired units (162 MW each) and one 160-MW steam cycle, totaling 484 megawatts.
The power plant is equipped with E-type gas and steam turbines manufactured by MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA), HRSG, and supplementary firing manufactured by MAPNA Boiler and Equipment Engineering and Manufacturing Company, power and control system developed by MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO), ACC cooling system, and a 230-kV substation.
Khorramabad Power Generation Company is the client of the project. Moshanir is the project supervisor and consultant.
