In alignment with the established schedule and its commitments to Pars Oil and Gas Company, the client of this major national project, Neyr Perse Company commenced the introduction of acid gas (GAS-IN) into the Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) of South Pars Phase 14 at noon on Monday, February 3, 2025.
This milestone was achieved by receiving acid gas from the refinery’s gas trains, marking the initial “START-UP” activity of this unit.
The process was successfully executed and is currently in the monitoring phase, focusing on the concentration of acid gas for sulfur production via the Claus process. Depending on the sulfur content in the received gas, liquid sulfur production is anticipated in the coming days.
Following Neyr Perse‘s success in commissioning and operating sulfur recovery and solidification units in South Pars Phase 13 in 2018, this marks the third sulfur recovery unit engineered, procured, executed, and now being commissioned by Neyr Perse.
Established in 1958 and acquired by MAPNA Group in 2008, Neyr Perse has been an active player in Iran’s oil and gas sector. The company has served as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor in various midstream and downstream projects, notably in the development of multiple phases of the South Pars Gas Field.
In the South Pars Phase 14 project, Neyr Perse’s responsibilities encompass all utility units of the refinery and several process units, including sulfur recycling and gas compression.
As of August 2024, the project in the MAPNA Group section was 94.99% complete, with most units managed by Neyr Perse operational.
Additionally, Neyr Perse has been involved in the engineering, procurement, and development of six phases of the South Pars Gas Field, namely phases 13, 14, 19, 22, 23, and 24. The company’s activities in these projects include process units, utility units, and gas compression stations.
