MAPNA, August 03 –Algerian ambassador to Tehran has paid a visit to MAPNA Group, has emphasized improving relations with the Company.
Algerian ambassador Mr. Abdel-Monem Ahriz visited MAPNA Group on Wednesday last week to find more about Iran’s capabilities in energy. Mr. Abbas Aliabadi, MAPNA managing director was also along with Algerian ambassador during the visit to MAPNA Group assembly line halls. The visit was made by an official invitation by MAPNA Group to boost cooperation with Algeria in power plant, oil and gas, and railroad industries.
Mr. Ahriz received a comprehensive package of information about the scope of MAPNA Group activities, and visited, along with Group’s higher management staff, four manufacturing sections including MAPNA Turbine Design and Manufacturing Co. (Tuga), Mavadkaran Co., MAPNA Turbine Blade Manufacturing Co. (Parto), and MAPNA Pars Generator Co.
During the visit, Mr. Ahriz and MAPNA higher officials discussed and exchanged opinions on the ways of cooperation. Mr. Abbas Aliabadi expressed gratitude to Mr. Ahriz’s visit to MAPNA for the first time, and said that the group would welcome cooperation with Algeria in different areas such as construction of electricity power plants, training Algerian electricity engineering human resources by the Group, and establishing a MAPNA branch in Algeria, and participation in the country’s oil and gas, electricity, and railroad projects, which attracted Mr. ambassador’s attention.
Mr. Ahriz, for his part, expressed satisfaction for visiting Iran and MAPNA Group; “the facilities and the sheer technical capabilities of MAPNA is commendable; now, with such scope of technology in MAPNA, European technologies would seem quite modest in comparison, inspiring no surprise,” he added.
Mr. Ahriz described the future of bilateral ties as ‘promising;’ “we hope that with new internationally recognized favorable conditions about Iran, we would develop a more effective cooperation; definitely, with sanctions removed, and providing government authorities in Algeria about the outcomes of this visit, a new chapter will be opened in country’s relations with MAPN,” he asserted.
Mr. Abdel-Monem Ahriz also visited MAPNA Group Media and Communications Center, where he mentioned specially Iran’s 16th place in global ranking of scientific progress; “Iran has taken giant steps forward in science and medicine in recent years; MAPNA is a clear example of such progress toward adopting cutting-edge technology, which is a huge success for the company; the scope of success and advanced level of the company remind me of visiting European and American manufacturing companies,” he said.
Mr. Ahriz also proposed that Islamic industry moguls cooperate with MAPNA Group; “as Algerian ambassador to Tehran, I will make necessary recommendations to my government officials on MAPNA vast scope of capabilities and possible mutual cooperation,” he emphasized.
Mr. Ambassador also indicated his interest to visit MAPNA Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company (MLC) in the near future.
