New Chapter in MAPNA-Siemens Relations

MAPNA Group was host to a delegation of Siemens managers headed by the company’s CEO Joe Kaeser on Sunday, February 21.

The delegation, who has visited Iran for negotiations with top industrial and energy officials of the country, paid a visit to MAPNA central office on Sunday afternoon, where it was received by the group’s CEO Abbas Aliabadi and a number of senior managers.

Welcoming the visit by Siemens managers, Aliabadi pointed to the fruitful partnership between the two companies in locomotive manufacturing sector. He also hoped for a similar experience in the field of power generation where Iran holds a competitive edge against other countries in the region. MAPNA CEO also pointed to desalination projects as another potential field of collaboration between MAPNA and international companies such as Siemens.

Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser also expressed happiness for visiting Iran and praised MAPNA’s evolution in the recent years. Kaeser emphasized the German company’s commitment to renew Iran’s infrastructures, addressing the long-time relationship between MAPNA and Siemens. “We are ready to develop that relationship to the next level” he said.

This was the first visit by a Siemens CEO in sixty-five years since the company started operations in Iran.
